Rites of Passage

Our Rites of Passage experience has been developed over 10 years to provide young men (age 18 - 24) with the opportunity to grow up and take their place in the world as adults.

We emphasize a shift in responsibility, from taking to giving back, and allow young men, perhaps for the first time, to engage with their head, heart, and body as a cohesive whole. Critically important to our program is the concept of “inner work,” offering tools to young men to stand on their own two feet, building their house upon a rock, as it were, instead of being thrown into reactivity by external circumstances.

The week consists of hard practical work, guided and solitary reflection, spiritual tool-giving, and fun. By design, the schedule is thoroughly structured but left shrouded in mystery for our Recruits.

“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.” Eph. 4:14
